K-cup Drawer Holder

I love my Keurig. It is the best thing since slice bread, really. However, I don't like storing the K-cups. There just doesn't seem to be a good way to store the little cups. I don't have enough cabinet space to keep the cups in the boxes, and I don't have enough counter space for a carousel (I also am not particularly fond of the carousels either). So, my storage solution has been a basket filled with the K-cups that sits on top of the fridge. It stores them, but there is no organization and you have to dig to find your flavor. Not the best option, but it works.

And then a friend of ours told us about a drawer he saw at BB&B that sits under the Keurig and stores the cups. Genius! Why didn't I think of that? A quick Google search and I find it, priced at $25. Not terribly expensive, but not cheap. And it is sold out. Waa-waa.
Keurig® K-Cup® Drawer Holder
Well that got my wheels a-turning. I could easily make or find a drawer for much cheaper, which is exactly what I did. Before Christmas, I found an awesome vintage metal cabinet for $2 while out thrift store trolling. This cabinet is going to be my new K-cup drawer holder:

It was super easy to re-purpose this cabinet into the drawer holder. Here is a quick how-to:

Step 1 - Clean. Who know what this cabinet was used for in its previous life, or what was stored in it?! And I'm not taking any chances! I cleaned the cabinet with Mrs. Meyer's and a magic eraser to make it shiny and clean.

Step 2 - Grease. Not actual grease, but I didn't know what else to name this step. I used a left-over taper candle to "grease" the drawer tracks so they would slide easier.

Step 3 - Felt. Since this drawer is a little taller than the retail one, it has to be slid out a little from under the  top cabinets so we can put water in the Keurig. And I definitely don't want any scratches on my new counter tops so better felt the bottom. Cut strips of sticky felt and place on the bottom.

Step 4 - Paper. This probably isn't needed, especially since the cabinet is squeaky clean, but the shelf paper was too cute to pass up. And yes, this is the dreaded sticky shelf paper. Cut the paper, peel and stick.

That's it. Load the drawers with K-cups and it is a $2 holder, easy and functional.
Have you re-purposed any items lately? What are your storage solutions for K-cups?

What a clever idea. I'm going to do this! I store my recipes in a cabinet just like yours, but now I'm going to put the k-cups in it.

Wow! I just got a Keurig for Christmas and had no idea what to do with all the little cups! I'm going junking tomorrow and I will be on the lookout for something that will work! Great idea!

Love the idea! We have the Keurig and have seen the drawers in the Bed Bath & Beyond ads...I love your take on it! I'm going to have to do something like this!

Cute idea!! I store my cups in a large, vintage, Tom's Roasted Peanuts jar on the counter next to my Keurig. It doesn't look bad, but they do get jumbled up. I might just have to keep my eye for an idea like yours.

We have a Keurig and do keep the cups in a cabinet above the coffe maker. I, luckily have enough cabinets to do this but your idea is genius!!!! Great job! XO, Pinky

Linens and Things carries the holder for your machine. I purchased one for my daughter and family for Christmas. There was a coupon plus the store was out of the item so they ordered and it was shipped free because it was out of stock item! I got it just before Christmas. For their home it was just the right size. Your wonderful idea would of been too large for their space. Great job!

Try a large funnel with tube attached to fill your Keurig. No sliding anymore. The fill apparatus can reside in a drawer

Thats somewhat Offtopic, but і assumеd you coulԁ giνe me somе tips.

Ι would wοuld rather do A, but theгein lies my prοblem.
I want to register my domain nаmе with GoDaddy,

On the other hand, I'd rather not host my site using them. What would be your personal preference?
